GMail IMAP and its relationship to the Google gPhone

According to InformationWeek "Google (NSDQ: GOOG) today began giving its Gmail users access to IMAP, an e-mail protocol that allows users to synchronize their e-mail across multiple devices." The gPhone believed to be in development by Google could also benefit from this move. This is just more evidence that leads us to believe that the gPhone is in development. Google may be putting all its necessary pieces into place before the big announcement.
