So what evidence proves that the gPhone is really in development and just blog candy to tease the masses. Well for one is Google's bid to buy the spectrum once used by broadcast television. This spectrum could be used for mobile internet access. Another is Google's purchase of the internet startup Jaiku which specializes in instant messaging and mobile phone applications. And the last one comes from an Indian Express story which presents evidence that Google is applying for a number of patents dealing in the realm of mobile devices.
